Portfolio

Digital Realty Services

Retail colocation, wholesale leasing, build-to-suit, cross-connects, campus and metro connectivity, cloud on-ramps to AWS, Azure, and GCP, and PlatformDIGITAL — including Control Hub and ServiceFabric.

Retail Colocation

Cabinet, cage, and suite colocation in Digital Realty's global data center portfolio — delivering carrier-neutral, secure physical infrastructure with N+1 or better redundancy, 99.999% uptime SLAs, and flexible power density configurations. Retail colo is available in 50+ metro markets across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, with standardized architecture under PlatformDIGITAL for consistent operations across every campus. Customers retain full control of their own hardware while Digital Realty manages the facility, power, cooling, and physical security.

Wholesale & Build-to-Suit

Wholesale data center leasing provides large blocks of pre-built raised floor — multiple suites or multi-megawatt deployments — for enterprises, cloud providers, and content platforms that need significant scale without a full custom development. Build-to-suit goes further, delivering purpose-designed facilities constructed to customer specification on Digital Realty's global land portfolio. Power density, cooling architecture, campus configuration, and footprint are designed around the customer's specific hyperscale requirements — with long-term agreements that provide infrastructure certainty for large-scale deployments.

Cross-Connects & Campus/Metro Connect

Physical cross-connects provide dedicated, low-latency fiber interconnection between tenants and network service providers within Digital Realty's facilities — enabling private, direct connectivity to carriers, cloud on-ramps, and ecosystem partners co-located in the same campus. Campus Connect extends this across buildings within a Digital Realty campus, and Metro Connect provides dedicated fiber links between Digital Realty facilities within a metro market — enabling distributed architectures across multiple data center buildings under a single provider relationship.

Cloud On-Ramps (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Private cloud connectivity to AWS Direct Connect, Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud Interconnect — available as physical cross-connects or virtual cloud connects through Digital Realty's Network Hub. Cloud on-ramps are deployed across Digital Realty's global campus network, allowing enterprises to anchor hybrid cloud architecture in their colocation environment with dedicated, low-latency private connectivity to hyperscalers rather than routing production workloads over the public internet.

PlatformDIGITAL — Control Hub

Control Hub is the management and orchestration layer of PlatformDIGITAL — a unified portal that provides operational visibility across Digital Realty's global data center footprint. Through Control Hub, customers can manage assets, monitor power and environmental conditions, request cross-connects, track deployments, and oversee operations across every Digital Realty facility in their global portfolio — replacing the operational complexity of managing separate colocation relationships in each geography with a single, standardized management interface.

ServiceFabric — Data Exchange

ServiceFabric is Digital Realty's managed data exchange and ecosystem connectivity platform — enabling secure, governed, multi-party data movement between enterprises, partners, and cloud providers connected to PlatformDIGITAL. Rather than managing bilateral connections to each data partner individually, ServiceFabric provides a common data exchange layer across Digital Realty's global ecosystem — supporting financial data networks, healthcare data exchanges, media content platforms, and supply chain data collaboration at scale.

Ideal For

Who Digital Realty Serves Best

Multinational Enterprises

Global businesses that need consistent, standardized colocation infrastructure across multiple regions — Americas, EMEA, and APAC — under a single provider relationship. PlatformDIGITAL's unified management and common architecture eliminates the complexity of managing separate colocation contracts and operations in each geography.

Hyperscale & Cloud Providers

Cloud platforms, content delivery networks, and large-scale SaaS providers requiring wholesale data center leasing or build-to-suit facilities with multi-megawatt power capacity and custom cooling configurations. Digital Realty's global land portfolio and construction capabilities support the largest infrastructure footprints.

Hybrid Cloud Deployments

Enterprises architecting hybrid cloud environments that require private, low-latency connectivity to AWS, Azure, and GCP alongside on-premises and colocation infrastructure. Digital Realty's cloud on-ramp portfolio enables direct, dedicated connections to all three hyperscalers from within the colocation environment.

Data-Intensive Industries

Financial services, healthcare, media, and supply chain businesses that need to exchange data securely with multiple partners and ecosystems — at scale and with governance. ServiceFabric provides the managed data exchange layer that simplifies multi-party data collaboration without the bilateral complexity of individual direct connections.

Why Digital Realty

Key Strengths

What sets Digital Realty apart from other data center and colocation providers.

300+ Facilities in 50+ Global Metros

Digital Realty operates one of the largest data center footprints in the world — 300+ facilities across 50+ metros spanning the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. For multinational enterprises, this scale means deploying consistent colocation infrastructure in every region under a single provider relationship, with standardized architecture, management tooling, and commercial terms across the entire global portfolio rather than managing separate colocation contracts in each geography.

PlatformDIGITAL Ecosystem

PlatformDIGITAL is more than a data center portfolio — it is a global interconnection platform that enables workload placement, data exchange, and cloud connectivity across Digital Realty's entire footprint. Control Hub provides unified management, Data Hub enables governed data exchange, Network Hub delivers cloud and carrier connectivity, and ServiceFabric enables cross-ecosystem data movement. Together, these create a consistent architecture for deploying and scaling digital infrastructure globally.

Retail + Wholesale + Hyperscale Options

Digital Realty serves the full spectrum of data center requirements — from individual cabinet retail colocation to multi-megawatt wholesale leasing to fully custom build-to-suit hyperscale campuses. This range means that as an enterprise's infrastructure footprint grows, they can expand within the same provider relationship without migrating to a different vendor — from a single cage to a full suite to a dedicated facility, all within PlatformDIGITAL.

Global Cloud On-Ramps (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Digital Realty provides physical and virtual cloud on-ramps to all three major hyperscalers — AWS Direct Connect, Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud Interconnect — across its global campus network. Cloud on-ramps are available in colocation facilities where enterprises already house their own infrastructure, enabling private, dedicated connectivity to hyperscalers without routing production traffic over the public internet and without co-locating in a separate carrier hotel.

ServiceFabric for Cross-Ecosystem Data Exchange

ServiceFabric addresses a growing enterprise challenge — the need to share and exchange data with multiple partners, suppliers, and customers in a governed, secure way without the operational complexity of managing dozens of bilateral connections. As a managed data exchange fabric within PlatformDIGITAL, ServiceFabric enables multi-party data collaboration at the infrastructure level — relevant for financial services, healthcare, media, and supply chain-intensive industries where data movement between ecosystems is a core business function.
